# Svelte Commerce

SvelteKit storefront that switches between 26 commerce backends by editing one config line and .env.

Headless storefront in SvelteKit and TypeScript. The backend is chosen in kitcommerce.config.ts and its URL set in .env; connectors exist for Litekart, Vendure, Medusa, Saleor, Shopware, WooCommerce, Spree, Sylius, Bagisto, and more, with measured coverage per connector. It has no agent interface of its own; the backend APIs belong to other Listings.

## Use it when

- I already run Medusa, Vendure, or Saleor and want a storefront I can point at it without writing one
- I want a fast SEO storefront and expect to swap the backend later

## Gotchas

- README states that connectors other than Litekart and Vendure have not been run against live production instances; coverage ranges from 10/43 to 39/43 services
- Docker builds install from package.json alone, so the connector swap must be committed

## Editions

- Open source: Free, open source
  - source: npm i
  - container: docker compose up
- Litekart hosted: Free, closed source
  - hosted: https://litekart.in/

## Adaptable: make it yours

Effort: config-only (10 things to edit)

Three documented steps: pick the backend in kitcommerce.config.ts (one active export line), install that connector package, and set its env vars in .env (PUBLIC_MEDUSA_API_URL, PUBLIC_VENDURE_API_URL, PUBLIC_SALEOR_API_URL, or the PUBLIC_LITEKART_* trio). PUBLIC_STOREFRONT_THEME selects the theme. Per-backend guides live in docs/.

- Env vars: PUBLIC_LITEKART_API_URL, PUBLIC_LITEKART_DOMAIN, PUBLIC_STOREFRONT_THEME, PUBLIC_SITEMAP_URL, PUBLIC_MEDUSA_API_URL, PUBLIC_VENDURE_API_URL, PUBLIC_SALEOR_API_URL
- Config files: .env, kitcommerce.config.ts, package.json
- Prompt files: none
- Accounts you'll need: none
