# Ramp

Corporate cards, expenses, and bill pay with a $0 plan, an official remote MCP, and a CLI with an agentic-purchase skill.

Ramp is a hosted spend platform: cards, expense management, accounts payable, and accounting sync to QuickBooks and Xero on a free plan. Ramp publishes an MCP server at mcp.ramp.com/mcp (demo data at demo-mcp.ramp.com) and a CLI over the same agent-tools backend, so an agent can search transactions, approve or reject requests, code transactions, submit reimbursements, and, with Agent Cards, make a scoped one-time purchase.

Alternative to: Brex, Expensify, SAP Concur

## Use it when

- we run our cards and expenses on Ramp's free plan and want the agent to code last week's transactions and chase missing receipts before the QuickBooks sync
- we want an agent to buy a scoped item once with a merchant-locked card instead of sharing a company card number

## Gotchas

- US businesses only; card approval is an underwriting step, not a signup
- Custom MCP clients need redirect-URI allowlisting through Ramp support before production; the shared Ramp OAuth client must be used
- Read-write sessions expire 24 hours after last use; admins control MCP access per employee under Integrations
- CLI is built on api.ramp.com/agent-tools, which is closed to external clients
