The WordPress e-commerce plugin. WooCommerce now registers purpose-built abilities (query, create, update, delete products; query orders, update status, add notes) that the bundled WordPress MCP Adapter exposes as MCP tools behind the mcp_integration feature flag. Everything else remains on the REST API v3. GPL-3.0 with paid extensions.

Store settings, payments, shipping, and tax are set in wp-admin. Code adaptation is hooks and filters in a child theme or a small plugin, and constants in wp-config.php. MCP needs the mcp_integration feature flag enabled and a REST API key (deprecated endpoint) or the MCP Adapter's auth. GPL-3.0 applies to derived PHP.
